Hummm a realistic vow......

I vow to continue breathing until such time as I can no longer do so. While breathing I vow to consider you side of an argument long enough to formulate my answer, to only take the last slice of pizza when the in-laws are over, and to never leave the toilet seat up when my mom is over.

So help me God!

i make a solemn vow of the most realistic nature that I had a sandwich for lunch today. nothing can ever change that.

The problem with the whole wedding vow thing is that people don't mean what they say. they only intend to stay with the other person until the romance fades a little bit. if people who intend to keep their vows make them, they will keep them. personally, i make no vows. i say what i think, then do what i say. my yes means yes, my no means no, and nobody can ever call me a liar.

If you are going into a relationship with a balanced, mature life then no it isn't unrealistic. If your not happy with yourself and stuck on the fairytale spouse then your going to have problems. Cinderella doesn't exist in real life, neither does Prince Charming. People get married when there are serious problems in the relationship already of course their going to end up divorced. You have to work on a marriage its not all peaches and cream. When however you are referring to any kind of abuse in a relationship, then of course that's a totally different story! I do like bobb1's answer though
