Do you think they are doing better or worse than they would be doing with Kobe... be logical. Tell reasons for your statements.

I know he would be on the team... he had surgery on his knee. I knew this before answering the question, I am wanting everyone's views on how they will do when he comes back. Thanks.

Team USA is playing well.
I think they'd do better with Kobe, obviously he's an amazing talent. With the International Teams so good at hitting the three you need a killer defender like Kobe.
And Kobe CAN be a team player, he won three rings and I think he'd love to be on the court with Lebron and Chris Bosh and Elton Brand and ... and .. all the others!
It'd be more serious than the All Star games but you'd see Kobe pass and defend. The kid just needs some talent around him who can shoot. He's a great team defender and as an All Star you know the other guys would welcome him!

I don't think that Team USA will be worse off because Kobe isn't playing, there is tremendous talent at position. Tracy, Lebron, Vince, Wade, Richardson and bunch more are good. Of course having Kobe would make getting the gold easier, he's a great defender, moves the ball well, phenomanol shooter (which they'll need to compete out there), good penetrator and has a big body for a Guard (he prolly plays Foward too but he's big for the pos. too). It would have been nice to see him playing in the olympics but there's plenty of talent to choose from.

kobe would just be a distraction to the team. he is not a team player. this is TEAM USA. not KOBE USA OR AI USA. i think the usa made the right desion going young. though in the future i c gred oden and emeka ofafor joing the team.

They wouldn't be as good because he would demand the ball too much and wouldn't pass enough...international play would exploit that and it would cause a LOT of turnovers, bad passes, bad attitudes in the locker room, and disappointment in general would cause the team to self-destruct
