I started when i was ten, and now im 17. but i defintiely dont think that it's too late, especially if you play other sports and have athletic abilities. If you're not athletic, tennis will be really difficult for you. But i think that it's never too late, i mean depending on where you go to school you could play for the JV tennis team if you take some lessons. I know a lot of girls who start around that age and by their senior year in high school become pretty decent tennis players...!! You should definitely take tennis up, it's such an amazing sport! :]]] Good luck!

start with hitting a tennis ball against a wall. Here is a simplified version of the rules below

well start with holding your raquet like your shaking soemones hand ( with your right hand-this is called forehand ) then drop a tennis ball ( facing a wall ) and swing. when swinging dont let your arm bend alot & follow through. when following through its before you hit the ball you bring your arm all the way back, then hit the ball at your about 3-oclock then follow through with the raquet out infront you up above your left shoulder

thats your basic forehand swing. hope it helps!! :)

Throw a ball up and hit it over that net. When opponent hits it back to you hit it over the net again, always staying inside the lines. Repeat this without fail and you will be rich and famous.

Play as often as u can. work on your ground strokes and ur toss for your serve. Most likely if u have really good ground strokes, ur coach wont care if they get in. Good luck!!
