No, you are definitely crazy. I lived in FL for 2 years. The costal cities are great, Tampa, St. Pete, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Daytona. Central FL sucks though. There is a whole lot of nothing and it is hot as hell because there is no ocean or gulf breeze. If you are going to live in FL, you have to live on either the gulf or the atlantic. Central FL has a lot of rednecks and scary backwoods people - and trees, trees, trees and more trees. Orlando is ok, but it is way too touristy to ever live in. Good luck with that.

It depends where specifically in Florida you are moving. I just came back from Fla. twice and each time the weather was very hat and humid even in the shade and not much of a breeze and if there was a breeze it was warm but yes you will love it cause I have an uncle and cousin that live there and they like it. Great places to take day trips to.

That is something only you can decide. I moved from So. California to the Mississippi gulf coast and even after Hurricane Katrina there is no way I would ever move back to CA. It is all in what you like and where exactly in FL you will end up.

You are crazy. I live in Port St. Lucie and can't stand it. I moved here from Pittsburgh last year. My entire house is boarded up with hurricane shutters. It took me an hour yesterday to get gas.

I guess you can love anywhere you are it, if you know it is the right place for you. My suggestion~do you have hurricaine shutters? And, do you have a second place of residence in case of evacuations? Those are real questions I'm afraid these days...just a thought...
