it's eastern daylight time. the reason it specifies daylight is because there are places that do not change the clock forwards or backwards in spring and fall.
if everyone changed their clocks, it would just say EST.
also, i believe EDT is when clocks are moved backwards an hour from fall until spring. but i could be wrong on that.

Well, EDT stands for Eastern Time, so if you live in PST, you would add 3 hours. You can convert time and stuff...
