Hey I was talking to my friend and she showed me her nails to ask me what I thought.. I looked at them and they have green under them or on them?? It's weird... She said she had fake nails on for about 4 or 5 days and took them off yesterday then today she looked at them and they have green on them... could this be a fungus or maybe a disease? It's not the whole nail but on her left hand she has a spot near her cuticle on two fingers and on her right hand theres a patch of green near her cuticle and a spot on her ring and pinky finger also near the cuticles?? She is really worried? Any clues?

well she didn't get them done at the manicurist person, she did them herself with dollar store nail glue.. she talked to her grandma and she said it is probably from the nail glue. that she heard of that happen before... just to wait for it to go away.. she said they don't hurt or anything..

Sounds like an infection.

Sounds like a fungus. If I were your friend, I'd tell her to go back to the place that did her fake nails and have them put an anti-fungal gel on them (they have it!) and then maybe she can purchase some of it and continue to use it until the fungus clears. I had the same exact thing happen to me and my nails were messed up for 6 months. She can also go to a beauty supply store and buy the stuff herself.

It is a fungus. She needs to get it treated. It happens when you get moisture under the fake nails. You really need to take care of your hands and nails when you choose to get fake nails.

I would immediately go to a dermatologist and NOT return to the manicurist until her hands have been checked. She could possibly lose her nails.
