Usually it takes about a day or two of continuous wearing to notice if you're sensitive to the metal. Everybody's different, so some people may notice in an hour or less...but that will be very obvious.

It's natural for your ear to feel a little hot if you had some dfficulty putting the earring in...you just rubbed and scraped at it so it'll be a little inflamed from the action. That should go away.

My ears are sensitive to some metals too. I put in some earrings and leave them in all day and take them out before getting ready for bed. If my ears feel "itchy", to me that means I am allergic. I'd give it at least that long to see. If by the end of the day there is no reaction, you should be o.k. Good luck!

What do you mean it won't go in? I think you should take it off and put it back in and leave it like that. Don't worry about it continuously because it's going to make you keep thinking something's happening when really you're just uncomrtable. So leave it on for a few days.

just dont keep fiddling with your earings because it could make it worse. just wait a while. it may not even be irritated. wait about a half an hour maybe then check on it. also you can spray some bactine where the piercing is. it keeps it un infected.
hope i helped
