No I believe people want to hear what they want to hear.
If you notice a friend going through something they'll ask 50 people what they think they should do and they don't stop asking until they hear what it is they want to hear.

Yes and No.
Yes if it doesn't hurt, then they are willing for you to be honest with them.
No, if it means it is going to cause them some sort of pain or they are going to have to face something that they have been avoiding. Some people here would rather be lied to then confront and deal with what they know they should. They would rather delay things just a little bit longer before they have to face the music! You might keep their love but at a price. Are you willing to go this route?

People want you to let them down easy when they ask you to be honest. Usually just the expression is an indication they have doubts themselves, but it doesn't do to tell your friend or family member that they're idiots, does it?
A lie, even for a good cause, is ultimately going to boomerang back on you.

It's funny because I recently experienced something like this with my driving instructor (who was a complete creep by the way)
Anyway, he'd sit there, and ask me over and over again, if he was a good instructor. He would stare at me, tell me that I like him, that he knows I liked him
(I really didn't -_- )
Ask me if I wanted to see him again, ask me if I knew what a wonderful instructor he was....And kept pushing that "I'm glad your so honest with me, I like that"
HOWEVER, I only was agreeable to salvage the money my grandparents spent on the courses. Because I KNEW if I was honest, he’d totally ruin the lessons. (They were already ruined enough, I spent all the classes driving him to do stupid errands on his agenda) I even hinted at it, because on the third lesson day, he said “Tell your grandmother to purchase more lessons” (basically hinting that this lesson was over, because he had a horrible habit of being late to the lessons, and ending the lessons at least 10 minutes earlier) so I pushed in “Oh but this lesson isn’t over yet right? Because we spent most of the day doing other things.” sarcastically he remarks “Of course not, I’d keep you until 9pm if I could” and as we drove back to finish the lesson he was like “You know you really offended me back there, you made me very sad.” So my conclusion PEOPLE DON’T WANT THE TRUTH, they just think they do.

Unfortunately, honesty makes more problems than playing the game. Most people expect a degree of dishonesty, some of which is considered good manners. Be very very cautious about revealing your secrets!

As long as they are loving, accepting, caring and 100 % responsible I want people to be honest with me.

it depends on the person, i know i personally would want any boyfriend of mine to be honest, even if he did something like cheating on me, but i know other people who would rather put up with the lies to be protected from the truth.....
