Don't write mundane things, diaries are supposed to be like a life journal....
Special things or meetings - new people in your life, events,
times your feeling happy/sad.
Make it an interesting reminder of things that have gone on in your
life for memories when you get older.
Have a separate diary for appointments, birthdays etc...

The whole point of a diary is to write about what ever you think or feel. If you don't feel like writing that day just say , I did'nt feel like writing today. Or I'll write more tomorrow. Its your diary do what you feel is best.

you can write how you feel. let your thoughts run free because its your diary and no one needs to know what you write in it. Start out by writing about your day and you will find it gets easier.

write about interesting things that you experience or funny things that happened or feelings that you have about this or that.
I am a writer. I write about my memories of things and people and happenings. Sometimes people write their favorite things down on a regular basis just to see how their tastes change. I write about what is making me sad or happy on a particular day. Mundane things can be very interesting if you recall all the details.

Trust me! Don't write anything in ur diary, because when someone get a hold of it they would read everthing u have in there even ur personal thought of what u did in school or if u did something with a boy. So don't write in ur diary cause if ur parents get a hold of it ur toast. that's why i don't keep a diary for anything cause anyone could read it. If i were u i would throw away ur diary and rip all the pages in it. But of course it's ur choise and my advice.

Write about what you did durning the day. Write about what you hope to accomplish in life. Imagine your future grandchildren reading it after you are gone. What would you want them to know about you?

I've kept a journal for 6 or more years, adnm I have never had to ask anyone "what should I write about"
you write your thoughts, if we are tellign you what to write, then we'd be better off to write it in ourselves
