Use baby food jars. My daughter made me the cutest votive holder by gluing torn colored tissue paper with watered down glue all over the jar. It looks a little stained glass-ish then they put a little bow on it. If you know someone with a baby, ask them to save the jars for you.

Any dollar store should have a great selection of them. I always check the kitchen glassware and dessert glass section first because often they have sets of 3 tiny ramekins or other small dishes that are really cute.

I recently had a Partylite party and when the rep. got here, she asked me to put away all of my candle holders because she thought some were Partylite (love the candles but the holders are just silly expensive) and she was shocked when I told her every holder I had cost $1 or less *lol*

Wal-mart, but I stopped burning candles and I started using the candle warmers you get the smell and don't have to worry about the fire.
