Try this site for a simple little project
it is call nucleation
It involves Diet coke and Mentos Do the homework and it is a cool science project.

My sister did this science project one year where she ran rodents through a maze. My grandpa built a maze out of wood and we put plexi glass over it. We bought a rat, mouse and gerbil and each day we'd put food at the end of the maze and run them through the maze and time them. Try it, its really fun!!

It depends on what you can work with, but my suggestion is a doll house with real wiring and lighting. They have huge doll houses at Hobby Lobby, including other household things from tiny computers to electric fans. ITS SO CUTE!!!
