No. No religious militant group is willing to let Christians take over, so they will keep fighting for what they believe in and so will Christians.
Here's a thought:
When was the last time you saw athiests killing each other in the name of Allah/God/etc?

In a sense the world is the same as it has always been.
For some there will be war; for some there will be peace.

Nope. Unfortunately war has been going on since the beginning of time...i think it is just a part of life. Since people have anger and hate inside of them there will always be those who want to act on it...whether it be in the Middle East, Europe or here in America...the UN thinks they have it under control, but there are always those who want to break the "rules"

Not for many years to come.I warranty you,that you will die,I will die,many generations will die and nobody will see a world in peace. Peace will come to this world,but not yet.

If "world peace" means absolutely no violence between men, no.
If "world peace" means no ongoing wars, there may be spurts of it here and there. But my guess is it would be fleeting.

we have never had world peace until now what makes you think anything will change?.....If the Human race becomes extinct and there are no other evolved intelligences on the planet it might happen but otherwise no.... no ....no
