Yes, but they have been out of vouge now for several years- they're now refered to as "hard contacts". I don't even know if they're made anymore!

There's no such thing as permanent contacts although disposable ones are available in the market. Im assuming you're saying permanent like permanently implanted to your eyes, I do believe they're non existent even the non disposable ones, you still have to remove and change them eventually.
