Is your ipod registered with that computer? If so just use the updater.

2 things,
Run the iPod updater in the iPod directory of your computer.
Make sure your iPod is authorized to play the music in iTunes

PS: iPods SUCK!!!!!!
i will NEVER invest in any apple product such an iPod.. all my fiends that buy one have one problem with it or another.. so NO for me
return it get your money back and then buy a different make of mp3 player.
