Its been about 3 weeks since conviction.

With everything being electronic these days.. usually a day or two after arrest the charge shows up. Conviction shouldn't take more than a few days for someone to put it into the computer.

If you are an employee now, you will get discovered if and when they do a background search. (maybe never). If you are applying for a job and they check you out, it is very likely that is already in the public record. There is likely a website in California that lists all court records (public record). Check it out to see if you are listed.
