It's a combonation of the two. The kids are breaking up, he's cheating, blah, blah, blah and the producer will say, let's go to the beach and you confront him and you say things like such and such.

It is scripted. It tries to resemble a reality show, but it is not. By the way...I watched it for the first time the other night. WOW..I just hope it isnt REALLY like that in HS!!! Talk about stupid, ignorant and bigoted kids. It was actually disgusting. which, Im sure makes it a big hit with the teeagers.

its kind of a little bit of both but its more made to look like one. Most of the drama is fake and some of the people on the show are hired actors.

OMG! I am obsessed with Lacuna Beach, anyways umm... I'm pretty sure like all the drama and stuff is real, but i think some of it is staged, I read some where that it's a little staged, but I don't care I love it.

It's all staged. I watched a few episodes, you can really tell they are acting. To be honest, they're not that good either
