I know there is a loophole somewhere, and I need to find it.

Not everyone in Hollywood is a celebrity and going through Hollywood isn't the only way to do it. Look at Anthony Robbins - the motivational speaker. He is a bestselling author many times over. He didn't start in Hollywood.

I think it takes a combination of the right connections, doing the "right" things (can be outrageous or things that really make you stand out from the crowd), going to the right kind of events to showcase what you offer, being really good at what you do (ie. sports celebrities e.g. Michael Jordan) or having a great idea that you share with the public, something revolutionary or that would really change things.

If you are talking about Hollywood, I think it takes looks, connections, being in the right movies, being seen in the right places, being in the media. Look at Paris Hilton - before she turned 18, no one knew who she was. Also, she didn't look like that before high school. She had the right looks (as far as Hollywood goes although some of us may disagree), the right connections (born into a family that owns a famous hotel chain), friends with the right people (including starlets, some of whom are no longer friends with her e.g. Tara Reid) and she was in the media constantly. Her behaviour was outrageous too.

Tom Cruise didn't start off having the connections but he had this attitude and appeared in the right movies. He also had a certain look that alot of people liked.

I don't think there is any one loophole, if you look at it alot of nobodies become celebrities. You just have to have the right ingredients mixed together. I think it's hard to get some of those ingredients for many of us (ie. right connections) and that is why there aren't more celebrities.

Just because you aren't a celebrity or aren't famous doesn't mean that your life doesn't amount to much and also being a celebrity has its downsides like lack of privacy. Celebrity and being famous isn't for everyone. You can be happy and live a full life without being a celebrity.

well first you buy some real hip clothes and the biggest pair of eyglasses you can find. Get about 10 of your friends two of them are to act like they are on the phone all the time, two will wear suits and act like bodyguards then walk around town. There- instant celebrity!

How about actually having talent, charisma, being driven, and working your butt off to get to where you wanna be and deserving every ounce of it or if all else fails go the Paris Hilton route, all though I wouldn't recommend it if you want any kind of respect at all.

If all else fails, there's always good old-fashioned nepotism. Just look at Ashlee Simpson.

You need to be in a place where directors mostly look in for children or adults for actors.
