OR What are the MUST sees in ALL of Greece?

In Athens, see the Monasteraki and Plaka neighbourhoods, as well as the Parthenon and National Museum of course. Near Delphi, do visit the ancient oracle site, it's a place of great inspiration. The same could be said of Olympia, Mycene and Navplion on the Peloponnessos peninsula. The Epidavros theatre near Corynth however is the must-see, it's a magical place when you find yourself alone enough. The clifftop monasteries (Meteroa) in Northern Greece are also worth a visit, and if you'd like to visit an island you could choose Cephallonia for natural beauty, Mykonos for wealth, Santorini for volcanic amazement, Rhodes for a world wonder and Aegina for a brilliant souvlaki, beauty and convenience (it's a stone's throw away from Athens).

Above all, have a good time and when you are there, ask the Greeks - there are even nice taxi drivers or waiters who would gladly show you their best spot in all of Greece.

A lot of great places to visit in Greece. Take a tour of Athens
where you will see places such as the Acropolis, Mars Hill,
neat neighborhoods and good eating restaurants. Make sure
you save time for nightlife. While in Athens have someone take
you to the Kipselis District and spend time in the evening at
the street called Fokianos Negri. Not any tourists but a lot of
locals. Another afternoon or evening walk near the Acropolis
to the Plaka and Monostiraki areas. Constitution and Omonia
Squares are also trendy.
There are any number of Great Islands to visit but if you are on
a budget go where the Brits and Scandinavians go, Kalymnos.
Small island, about 10,000 pop, many beaches, inexpensive
hotel rooms, and lots of fun nightlife. NO first class facilities
except the fun, food, and people.

it is a wonderful city with a fantastic night life, friendly people, many fancy restaurants and also a lot of traditional taverns which are cheap to eat at
many monuments like the White Tower which is the symbol of the city, the big statue of Alexander the Great , the castles around the city, many beautiful churches like Ag.Sofia
also very near Thessaloniki is Chalkidiki a place with fantastic beaches where u can find really cheap rooms to rent especially at this time of the year but there are also some very luxurius hotels(in case u want to)
Vergina the place where the grave of Philipus the father of Alexander the Great was found and it is a very important archaiological place is also near thessaloniki

I was there back in 2000, I had a blast.
You must see the obvious things like the Parthenon and the Acropolis. Go check out shopping markets in the area, extremely cheap but interesting things. When I was there I stayed in the neighboring city of Pareus, but it was pretty much in Athens. Its a wonderful place filled with history and mythology. The people are friendly but Im not sure how it is since 9/11 and everything that is going on in the mid-east. Good luck, great place! Make sure you go to the bars on the beaches!

Must :

1.The Acropolis (and the historical center of Athens)

2.The Islands (check photos online to see which ones look more interesting for you because they have very different style from each other and they are too many to visti them all) www.airphotos.gr

3.The city of Thessaloniki

4. If you are religious The Meteora (Medieval Monasteries on Huge rocks) and Mount Athos (A Penisula with Medieval Monasteries - Acces for men only)

The are other beautiful places but I think those are the best.
