neither, they only work on gas in the stomach, they have no effect on Gas in the intestines (which is thought to be the cause of colic)
I agree with the answer below it is better to try to treat the cause of the colic (reduce the baby swallowing air) by changing to a slower flow nipple, feeding in a sitting position (not lying down), and not giving solid food (including rice cereal) before six months

The results will vary immensely from child to child. Some little ones do brilliantly on infacol, whereas for others you might as well give them water, then they go on to dentinox and its like a miracle cure. The same can be said for the opposite way round too. On occasion neither works for some children. If you try both and find that is the case, try Colief drops which can be added to the milk and will break down one of the sugars (lactose) which can cause babies to be colicky. Good luck, it can be a rough time.

my health visitor recommended infacol for my first son, he was pretty bad with colic, it didn't make any difference. I phoned a local pharmacy who made up herbal remidies for colic and they gave me a bottle of the stuff over the counter. It worked after a couple of days. When he had problems teething they had one for that as well. The pharmacy has since been bought over and don't make them anymore. I know some still do, ask about, some will post them out. When I had my second son I always used Dr Brown bottles. They are big ugly things and quite expensive. You can get them in Boots, Gordons chemist and Superdrug. My second son never had colic, I don't know if it was because of the Dr Brown bottles or not, but try them anyway.

i have 4 children,2 girls 2 boys, the girls never suffered with colic, both of my boys have, with my youngest little boy,who is 7mths old,i used gripe water, dentinox, infacol,dr browns bottles, boiled water, and still he screamed for 16hrs a day, then i tried colief drops, expensive, but worth it,£9.99 from local stockists,i used to buy them off ebay for £6 including postage.he screamed that much, that i thought that he had something wrong internally, and i'm not a paranoid mum,but it was that bad, those drops worked a treat, stopped using them3mths ago,and to be honest with you,now he is the most pleasant and happiest child i've had at this age.i should get commission off colief for the amount of times i've recommended it ha ha .

Personally I have to say that infacol because it saved my baby from a lot of pain and crying!

neither... its better to find the source of the colic. Whether its what being eaten, how its eaten, how its delivered, or the mothers anxiety level.
But ive seen infacol used more than others.

i've a baby the same age and he also wakes up after dozing off with wind-it's really frustrating! I have given him infacol and calpol together so I think it's ok. The calpol was prescribed because of his immunisation injections in case he got pain/a fever but it has seemed to help quite a lot with getting him to sleep as well-even when not using the infacol. Hope this helps!

Only used infacol and they seemed to work. So didn't try any other ones.
I also got it free on prescription.
