It will be a 13th birthday party, outdoors from late afternoon continuing into the night. There will be a color theme of lime, orange, and magenta. I am getting streamers, plates, napkins, forks, tablecloths, and balloons in those colors and I'm going to use clear xmas lights also. It is a swimming and dancing party--ideas?? Please try! I'll give ya 10 points!

Have a cake made or you make it that reflects the birthday person's interests. Like a guitar cake for someone really into music, or a castle cake for someone who likes medieval stuff.
Make ice cubes with a clear soda like 7 up or sierra mist, put in glass with some kind of punch drink.
Make a veggie tray with sliced raw veggies and two or three dip choices like ranch and french dressing. Olives and pickles on the tray too.

a treasure hunt is one of my daughters favorite things to do at their parties I write rhyming clues that lead from one to the other and in each leave a chocolate bar and then in the last which i usually have at least 12 of hidden in places all over the yard and house I put a cheap bracelet or a CD single and a small box of lollies to share with the others that took part I thought it was childish but at 17 they still ask for it at parties .

SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT...TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES...FOR THIS...DESIGN A SPECIAL AREA...DECORATE IT WITH BALLOONS...MAYBE A LAWN CHAIR COVERED UP OR SOMETHING...CUT OUT A BANNER THAT SAYS HAPPY BIRTHDAY , YOUR NAME, AND HAVE ALL YOUR GUESTS TAKE A PICTURE WITH YOU THERE..AND MAYBE COUPLES IF THEY GO, WILL WANT TO TAKE PICTURES JUST LIKE A PROM THING....GOOD LUCK
