My wife and I are going to be trying for our first child soon.

I want to be there when she takes all her pregnancy tests and goes to the doctor.

I have friends that say they weren't there for the tests and their wives told them in special ways. Like cards, announcements, etc.

Am I weird for wanting to be so involved? I want to find out the moment my wife finds out about the pregnancy!

No, i dont think your weird at all. It is actually GREAT that you want to be involved so much. Dont listen to your friends. You are doing a great job. And if you are this attentive to your wife while she is trying to get pregnant you will be a great father.
Keep Up the good work and good luck

NO this is actually very sweet. YOu WILL NOT regret one bit being there. Although if she feels that she wants to be in the bathroom alone while she pees then I would give her that privacy. I would be taking pictures of her at all the appts and stuff. It will make her feel special and feel that you are connecting with the pregnancy also. Good luck and you should be proud of yourself.

I think that is great. You should be there if you want to.
From the moment you know...how special. Not everyone needs to find out through a card. I think it is special that you will be there to share that moment....
you're going to be a great dad....

good luck & congrats on starting a family!

That's not weird at all! Just talk to your wife before she takes any pregnancy tests... she'll probably think it's very sweet that you want to know at the same time she does.

Not weird at all, in fact it's great you want to be so involved. And I'm sure your wife will really appreciate it. Sounds like you will be a good father.

NOPE not at all. With my other two kids I had a LOUSY father that was NOT involved AT ALL and with this one my husband has been there since the day I have taken the blood test and I am SOOOOOO proud of him! You have ALL RIGHTS to know what is going on and every little step. She will appreciate it later on!

It's great that you want to be so involved!! I think all men should feel this way. She didn't get pregnant on her own and she shouldn't have to go through it all on her own. I am 12 weeks pregnant right now and my husband is the same way and I LOVE it!! Congrats and good luck!

Absolutely not. If you believe you are responsible in this pregnancy, I would think you have the right to do so. Many wives need and look forward to a male such as yourself.

Use a home pregnancy test- why use a doc? Have her check in the morning before going to work
