600? wow...I would definitely try to use windows system restore to see if it will work although I truly don't know if it will. I do however know that data recovery programs often do. I use StompSoft's Recover Lost Data to help me get back files that I have misplaced (deleted) and more often than not I get back what I need.

You can still undelete them. First make sure they weren't restored somewhere else on your hard drive, though.
I have Norton Utilities which has a restore function. When files are written to your hard drive and then deleted, they aren't actually deleted, they're just "skipped over" by your computer. They will be gone forever when new files take their place. Run a utility like Norton and you should be able to search for the files and restore them truly.

Ok man calm down and don't kill yourself.
1) Click Start
2) Go to all programs
3) Click Accessories
4) Open System Tools
5) Click on System Restore
6) Restore your computer settings(including all files and folders) to the day previous you think that this happened. This should get all of your music files back and everything else they way that they were.

If system restore does not do it as was suggested, then a program called get data back ( getdataback.com ) can recover deleted files.
