Sex, cleaning, raspberry leaf tea, walking, bouncing, rocking, rolling ... lol. And I guess he just doesn't want to come out. Have not given myself an enema, I'm on the toilet enough as it is. I am 40 weeks and 3 days today. I have an appointment to be induced next Thursday if this lil guy doesn't make his appearance. This is my third child and I had my other two before their due dates. What is the deal with this lil guy? Is it really so cozy in there, he'd rather stay in there until the medical staff gives him the eviction notice? LOL. Its like hes here although he is still inside. All I have to do is rub my stomach on the side where his back is and behold he wakes up to stretch and move. Almost like hes taken to the uterine environment how he should take to being out already. LOL. Hes a lil fart already. Is there anything else I can do???? Anything safe? I'm not willing to do anything that will put him in jeopardy.

i became brought on with my first (I had 3 in all). It became suprisingly solid. I have been given a solid nighttime sleep.( the subsequent 2 have been middle of the nighttime labors and that's lots extra onerous.) hard artwork pains have been somewhat enhanced, yet on the different hand it purely took 5 hours from the time that they broke the membrane till I introduced a wholesome 8 lb toddler boy. i'm happy that i became brought on because of the fact he might have been lots extra effective If I have been left to offer on my own. The physician's reason became that my blood tension became too severe and that i became 11 days previous my due date. Please dont hear to all the horror thoughts, those human beings decide to create drama and get interest for themselves. Its referred to as hard artwork because of the fact its complicated artwork yet once you bypass into it with a valuable ideas-set and have faith your docs and nurses you will relax extra have much less soreness and finally end up with the final element that ever occurred to you. playstation The nurses are genuinely superb. Ask them for something you want. My very ultimate desires for an undemanding delively and a wholesome toddler.

The enema is a VERY good idea. It is not as bad as it sounds, and in fact it might help you go LESS to the bathroom as you'll get it all out at once.
I have heard of people eating a LOT for dinner (like an all you can eat buffet, stuff yourself), and then the next morning the labor starts.
Everyone in my family does that when their little ones decide to extend their stay in mommy's womb.

I'm not a doc nor a nurse, but I'm pretty sure outside of professional intervention that there is no safe way to start your own labor. Do you really want to? what if this little guy needs an extra week to be in optimal condition for birth....what if his little lungs need just a couple more days....what if he were born before he was really ready and everything was not ok......let him come when he's ready....it will be soon enough!

I totally understand what your going through! I told everyone that for everyday he stays past his eviction notice (his due date) it's money coming out of his college savings! Hang in there though...I really don't know what to tell you. When I finally went into labor with mine I didn't even know it! Actually I don't know if you guys are both having orgasms when you have sex at the same time but that's said to help things move along. Good Luck! Sorry if I didn't help any!

My son didn't want to come out either, and when I went in to be induced (10 days over due), they ddi an ultrasound and discovered that he wasn't soming out becuase he was upside down and backwards!
He was face up (facing front instead of facing back like he should've been), and frank breech, with his feet and arms up over his head.
I ended up having a c-section, because the Dr. said it wouldn't be safe for him to be born like that.
I would just let it ride it I were you, since it seems like you've tried everything! Although, my sister-in-law put herself into labor by going shopping at WalMart...

walking is the best it takes time and its up to the baby, go out and walk every where. go to the mall everyday and wall all day anything that keeps you moving the mire you walk the more you will dialate and eface. when you get done with all the walking take long warm baths and relax. hold your belly to see if your having contractions that your just not feeling (i didnt feel mine).
good luck and relax
i hope you go into labor and dont have to be enduced its a bad way to give birth. (my sister had to have both of hers enduced and she had a horrid time of it)

I was 42 1/2wks pregnant with my 1st and they induced me, that didint work so they did a C-section.......
My sister took castrol oil and made her poop a lot and it actually started the contractions.
My friend ate a spicy meal and that did it for her.
I guess theres not much to do but to wait it out.

Relax, the "due" date was just a general idea of when to expect your baby, that doesn't mean he HAS to be born on that specific date. You've gone over only three days? LOL I went over 3 weeks with my daughter.

When my wife was close to her due date and our baby was just taking his good ole time to arrive, she drank a margarita and within 3 hours she started labor.
This worked on two different occasions. I guess maybe the drink helped her to relax enough to start labor.
Good luck and congratulations on the new one.
