I have many family members that live in Iran and work as Plastic surgeons, dermatologists, anesthesiologists and other respectful positions. I would love to visit them sometime but it is extremely difficult since our governments have no "official" relationship. You have to go through the Pakistan embassy, you have to have an invitation. There is so much red tape. It is the same in reverse. My cousin tried for 2 years before he was able to come here and do some observation of plastic surgery to repair birth defects on children at the Mayo clinic. The Iranian people are warm, funny and love Americans. Both of our governments get in the way of people visiting this country. I have lived in the US all my life and will probably never see my Iranian family.

I was there 29 yr's ago and loved it. But it was still the time when the Schah, Reza Pahlavi was ruling the country. Iran is so beautyful, the people very friendly and the food simply delicious. I doubt though if I would return these days especially being a woman.

Never. But I've had female friends from there. They all said they'd never go back as long as that terrorist runs the country and all the women have to stay veiled.
