How old are you? I ask this question in all seriousness. If you are in your teens I suggest you join the drama club at your school and go to any casting calls in your area, but at the same time keep focused on your school work and get good grades. If your parents see you are keeping your options open by keeping up with your school work they will be more willing to support your dreams.
Also be realistic about your talents and what type of acting you would like to do. Not everyone is going to be a superstar. Plan on going to college and having other career options so you are not the archetypal "out of work actor working as a waiter" and make sure the college you go to has acting and drama classes available to you.

Your family doesn't want to see you 20 years later with gray in your hair and all washed up with no career. As they should be, they are concerned for your welfare.
You need to decide if you are going to do what it takes to be that good. A lot of people can seek to be teachers or lawyers or doctors or engineers and wind up getting some good employment. That is not the case with an actor. Only a few can make it. The rest starve.
If you have to do it - then do it. Follow your heart. But make it so that you are not constantly hitting them up for money and being a burden on them. Maybe try and get a back up career going in case it does not work out.
Good luck.

Don't let your family discourage you. My mother discouraged me as I wanted to be a veternarian, 20 years later when her dog gets sick, I take her & her dog to the vet, & she says, "Oh, look at all the female veternarians!", & I regret it to this day! If it's in your plan (& you've gotta have a plan) go for it! Now I am retiring from a major corporation, all I here is: "now you'll really have to watch your money!" I get it from my mother, my younger brother. What the hell? I have a pension, I worked all my life like a damn dog, I am a young 52 years old; don't they realize I know what is best for me, they think they know what is best for me. I'll tell you, it's the one's that either don't work, or the one's that make less money than you that say the stupid stuff. Get out there, follow your dreams, we need to see some great actresses & actors, & you better start out now to add to your portfolio, as life is short, get out there & enjoy it. Don't give up, don't cave in, & don't take NO for an answer!

Be realistic. A very small number of people actually have talent. An even smaller percentage of that group get work. Of that, almost no one makes a good living.
Look in the mirror. If your talent is not special, give it up and participate in a local theater group.
If you still want to go ahead, your family is the least of your obstacles.

The thing is when you want a career in show buisness, chances are your family won't support you. But If you really want it, work hard at it, if though it sounds cheesy, but follow your dreams. Don't let other people stop you. If one day you do make it big, your family will regret what they said to you.
