j'etais à ma fac, en train de tchatter sur yahoo, et juste quand qlq1 me racontait ce qui ce passait, tous les ordis se sont bloquées...

Just getting to work, heard about it first on the radio. When I got inside, everyone was gathered around our conference TV. The office was near an airport and we were used to seeing incoming and outgoing flights. It seemed surreal when all that activity stopped. When I told someone that the Pentagon had been hit, a couple of people who lived in a nearby town left to go home to their families. Most of us stayed and worked, listening to the reports.

J'étais au bahut en cours de sport. Après, je suis rentré chez moi et j'ai pas saisi la gravité de la situation tout de suite. J'ai glandé dans ma chambre avant de comprendre que c'était vraiment un jour pas comme un autre. English version: I was at school in sports class. Afterwards, I returned home but I didn't quite grasp how serious the situation was. I fooled around in my room as usual until I understood it really was a day like no other.

I was working for Siemens in East Tennessee and was a conference call with Germany. We were in the middle of negotiations all day that were very testy at times. Each time we broke, someone told us another plane crashing. It was an extremely trying day and my team members were hard pressed to find a way back to Philly, Chicago, Atlanta, etc.
Certainly, a very terrible day.

Sorry hun, don't speak French. I was in a homeless shelter in St. Joseph, Missouri, USA. I woke up about 9am to a lot of commotion and didn't know what was happening at first. It was pretty bad.
