The best book I've read on the subject is 'The Making of the Atomic Bomb' by Richard Rhodes. It won awards when it came out and is the history of how the bomb came to be designed and built and dropped, and what happened to the cities it was dropped on. It's a brilliant read but it's long, and a serious work of history.

Well good luck in getting them. The name of the plane that dropped the bomb on Hiroshima was called the Enola Gay and the actual bomb was called Little boy. Find out the rest for yourself.

they have put it into this film with clever cgi effects,
and some terrifying accounts of what really happened,
you will not be disappointed.
