If you look in your local newspaper or city website, there should be an events section. There are typically a ton of "free" things going on in any given city, from free concerts to art shows, etc. If there's enough money for just a hotel room, tell him to pick a direction N, E, S, W....and just drive till you guys get tired and get a room. Sometimes a change of scenery is the best gift-and a chance to say you did something "different" together.

awwww congrats hun! Im in the same boat as u. in october ill be celebratin my 1 year anniversary too! ne who, you could make up some finger sammiches and make like little fruit bowls and have a picnic in the park. or even go camping at the lake...i know thatd do it for my hubby! lol camping at the lake with a picnic and just the 2 of ya alone with no interruptions...what hubby wouldnt love it?!

It doesnt matter where you go or what you do, so long as you are together, to enjoy each other is all that counts, have a romantic weekend.

my 1 yr is 11 days away......... we are goin on a 3 day getaway. first to a baseball game then to 2 days in cabin in da smokies. cost is bout $250 fer all 3 days......
