Well, it depends. If you use one of your eggs and your husbands sperm, they culture it in a lab, and then insert it in the surrogate, then no, she contributes no DNA because it is biologically your child.
But if they use the egg of the surrogate, then she would have contributed half of the DNA, and the child will be a biological child of the surrogate, and whoever donated the sperm.

I believe that it is true. DNA comef from the father's sperm and the mother's egg. A surrogate mother has contributed neither if I understand the process.

It depends on what kind of surrogate. You can be artificially inseminated and use your egg, which would be your DNA. Or you can carry someone elses egg and sperm so there wouldnt be any of your DNA and you would just be the incubator.

True. What the baby develops from is the donor sperm and egg. No surrogate mommy DNA gets introduced.

That is true- the surrogate mother simply holds the egg and sperm from the parents until it is born. The surrogate mother supplys food, oxygen and nutrients for the child to be born, however

DUH yeah it's true. The only thing a surrogat mother contributes is her body unless the eggs used were her's. But if the eggs and sperm were from other people she is just the incubator. She passes none of her DNA onto the baby in her womb.

Absolutely correct...the dna is from the egg and the sperm only....course you might want to look into the fact that the mothers blood and the baby's blood can mix in the umbilical cord...ask your Dr for sure.
