It really depends on the question. Sometimes I will give a rude answer (not grotesque) because people just don't think logically or have common sense.
It also depends on my mood. Sorry, but venting on this is good for me sometimes. It's getting rid of my anger or hostility and giving it to someone else.
Most of the time I try to give good answers.
It really bothers me though when teenagers on here ask "am I pregnant?" or "my bf hit me, should I forgive him?"
That's when I get rude and tell people to get their head out of their butt.
That's my take on it.

Im sure it just depends on the person or the question or at times both. Some people may also do it just to get points or see how bad they can really piss others off...which is extremely rude. IF they dont have anything nice to say they shouldnt say anything at all!

The internet tends to bring out the worst in people. Some people's sole purpose for getting online is to be a smart-a$$ and talk bad about people. It's how they 'get off'. It's really sad, but true.

Sorry - we do try not to be that way but sometimes a question just hits a funny bone that you don't see. If I do it I don't mean to belittle you or your question. Just so many questions are posted as a joke that sometimes we get carried away in answering. Please use the word "serious" to indicate that you don't want the jokesters and we will try to uphold that. Sorry for all us idiots and the way we have been treating you. You deserve our respect just as much as we want yours.

You can't ask young children to "grow up" too quickly...Consider the source and read those responses that appear eloquent... or at least on the 10th grade writing level...lol

I agree .
There are people who come here because they really need input.
I would think the anonymity helps if they are too shy to ask someone face to face.
They should be treated respectfully
