For my school talent show, a friend of mine who is a low tenor/bass and myself, an alto/second soprano, are looking for some good duets. We've gotten ideas such as The Prayer, A Whole New World, and I'm Your Angel. Any suggestions at all for good male/female duets?

There are some fantastic duets in the "Moulin Rouge" soundtrack! (Sung by Nicole & Ewan)

ok, i just looked it up, and i guess the only true duet is:
"11. Come What May - Nicole Kidman And Ewan McGregor"

lol. but it's still an awesome soundtrack! 4 1/2 stars on amazon, out of 545 reviews!

In Your Room by Devics
Siren Song by Devics
Not That Social by Von Bondies
I don't remember if Five Seconds to Hold You, by Devics, is a duet, just that's a good song.

Wow, there are some great ones: Paradise by the Dashboard Lights is a really fun one. Oldies - let the Good Times Roll, by Shirley and Lee, Love is Strange, by Mickey and Sylvia (rent Dirty Dancing) - These are songs I've done with partners in the past) Endless Love is another great one. I'm gonna make you love me, The temptations and the Supremes. I've heard Born Again, (don't know who it's by...) My all time favorite to do: Baby, come to me, by Patti Austin with James Ingram. What a song!!!!

If you want a steamy song that can be played up hot for the audience, listen to Bonnie Raitt & Jackson Browne's duet of "Kisses Sweeter Than Wine".

Haven't heard it? Want it? Got it ripped...it's 4:44 min long

"The Song That Goes Like This", from Monty Python's Spamalot is a great duet because it makes fun of the male/female duets in musicals.

The Hush Sound has a male and female singer and have several duets. 'Wine Red' is personally my favorite.

Having the time of my life, from dirty dancing. I don't know who actually sings it but I think it is a good Alto part for the girl.
