It all depends on the university that's evaluation them and why they are being evaluated. If you want to be a teacher they often won't accept anything over five years old. The university I went to accepted all credits regardless of age, but I know of another university that only goes bck 25 years.

You people are all retarded and don't know what the **** your talking about because all the general elective credits, such as math, English, and etc. do not ever expire. Lets say for instance you are taking advanced science, computer, or nursing courses, then those will expire, due to technology upgrades, but your general ed. courses will never. It's about as crazy as saying your high school diploma will expire. So, don't believe any of the comments because those people probably went to online scam colleges, such as Phoenix, Kaplan, and others.

Wow, you spent 8 years going to a community college? That is one long time and you should have some sort of degree by now, that is the problem with those community colleges they just keep you hanging on and never let you go. I hope that this time you are going to a private college and maybe you can get out in less than eight years. good luck

It will vary by the school you attend. Some colleges won't transfer specific credits. Contact the office of records and registration at the school you wish to attend to find out whether your credits will transfer.

I do believe that your credits have expired. But, to be on the safe side, check with a local college.
