Laziness, and parents and teachers not stressing the importance of proper grammar and spelling any more.

Granted we have it SO easy that we can just check our spelling before we post. I don't think it is a sin- however it can be annoying at times- but when someone makes a point of pointing out spelling and grammar mistakes it shows me that what that person is asking is not important enough to that person, and instead of just not answering the question , people want to insult. NOT NECESSARY. Most of the time we can read what the person says anyway.

There is absolutely no excuse for not using the spell check it
only takes a few seconds .I am a reasonably good speller of words but I always double check anything I have written .I would hate to answer a question or pose one with spelling mistakes .
I find it just as irritating as you do yourself .

i tind 2 yooze my own diskreshion win typin ansirs so i jus proofreed...
But, reality is, most people don't care about spelling because most of these topics aren't worth taking seriously. And if an individual does feel passionate about a subject spell-check isn't at the forefront of his/her mind...I mean, its not like these are final questions on an AP exam.
And 2 answer ghiagirl8's question: No, I wasn't nervous about my spelling when posting the answer to this question. Really, y the hell do u care so much about what she thinks?

Sometimes I DO hit the Check Spelling button- when I want my answer to be precise. But you know, I've never been a great speller- and to me, that's as much a part of my personality coming through as the actual words I'm using. Let's face it; "Check Spelling" is the politically "correct" thing to do. But aren't we mis-representing ourselves alittle (like when we always use a calculator to add - instead of using our heads?) if we always use it? That's my take on it.

Why would you be posting a question such as this? It doesn't matter; everyone doesn't have the gift of spelling or whatever. The fact that you would let some spelling errors get in the way of trying to help someone is pretty pathetic and ridiculous.

This drives me nuts also! But then again, some people don't even realize they are misspelling something. I think they should have to hit the Check spelling button before they can send their question/answer.

If I cared so much about my spelling I probably would still be on Level 1.

i think most are in a hurry and have another excuse not to read what's in front of them. some people also spell in slang and some just don't know how to spell, didn't get it in school i guess, or just don't feel it's necessary to know how to spell or talk correctly. only god knows

Maybe you should find something more important to be bothered or irritated by.
Why would you let something so stupid irritate you?
Who really cares if I use spell check?
Boy would I hate to be your child!
