The people at Yahoo answers feel that it would be best if you let your question stay out there for at least 4 hours to get a substantial number of answers. You can let it stay out there for a couple of days to get more answers and if you do not choose a best answer then it goes to a vote and the public can decide for you which is the best answer. Wait a few more minutes and then you will probably be able to pick your best answer.

I just answered a question a few minutes ago, that had been open for only a minute. Maybe you don't have enough points yet to pick a best answer, but you can always pick the best answer to your own question. Lot of Luck, God Bless. Martha S.

Do a refresh on the page where the question is by either using F5 or selecting View, Refresh from the top bar of Internet Explorer. It should refresh the timer.

Two reasons:
It's either on a delay.
Your time zone is different from the Yahoo time zone.
