Polygamy! How many females are turned off by the iodea of polygamy because of jealousy concerns?

If God wanted Men to have 10 wives, there would be 10 women born for every one man.
As a young man, I would have been, yeah, sounds good.
Now that I am over 40, NO WAY!!!!!!
Any faith that allows polygamy (even though it was in the OLD Testament) is degrading to women.

most people associate polygamy with the Mormon religion, it came about for the mormon people as a mean to take care of women and children who had been left manless during the journey from East to West , Becuase there were many times that they were brought under attack and many of their men were killed. So then yes it's a great idea,, I have even been in situations that I could see why it would be helpful.
I am just not sure I could emotionally handle it to just be dropped into it,, but if is what I had been brought up to believe then yes it would be ok.

That's degrading to women. It makes me want to kick a ton of people who believe in polygamy in the face.
I believe in the whole soulmate thing. I mean, when I'm married, I would obviously want him to be all mine, not a bunch of other women's. Gosh. Wouldn't you want the whole reassurance of someone to be with you always and to listen to your thoughts and so on. I mean, the women in polygamy, they might as well just be the equivalent of being all alone because they're sharing their "love" with a man whose sharing his "love" with several other women. Actually, that's worse than being alone. Pshh.. I'd damn well rather be alone. These women must be pretty lonely.
Yeah, the Old Testament was like this or something, which just confirms my thoughts that the bible was written by a bunch of men during a time when men were superior and women were apparently nothing to these men. All written by a bunch of conceited men, basically.
Any man who believes in this is a shallow retard.

I can see why some men like the idea (for sexual purposes) but why would you want to deal with jealously issues, nagging, supporting more than one household?? How is polygamy not about sex? What other purposes does being married to more than one woman have?
I wouldnt want to share my husband. I have friends to go shopping with dont need them to be married to my husband

Polyandry over polygamy- women have an insatiable sexual appetite (why do you think it's possible for us to have multiple orgasms) and guys never last very long. Forget about having babies, the world is too overpopulated anyway. Also, women live longer than men, so it would be good to keep having marital love even if one guy dies. Plus, women are better at multi-tasking.

Well let's see- its illegal so not a good idea.
Are you married? One wife is quite enough thank you. The only way multiple wives would work is if they're all subjugated and controlled. So in polygamist groups, that's how thing are arranged.

Personally I don't believe we're meant to be monogamous people. So I really don't have any objections to polygamy, but I don't believe it's only about sex with different women.

I like the idea and sort of informally have my own harem. Every female I interact with is sort of my wife in my mind. I need a lot of feminine spiritual guidance so, that's what it is.
I love all of them so much that they are too in awe with the strength of my love for them to be all that consumed over the fact I love a select few like how I love them as well!
