Regional dialect and they say souff instead of south and a bunch of junk like that. And you haters who say stupid are the on;y stupid ones because you are shutting yourselves off from the diversity of life. Oh - I think I just exposed you as prejudiced. I don't like the south but I admire the people for who they are. Just too hot and muggy. NYC all the way everyday.

I have an uncle who physically can't pronounce words with TH in the spelling. And he isn't dumb. He was a chemist (retired now). Some people just cant, and I believe others just do it out of laziness or ignorance.

Its because different areas have different ways of pronouncing words its just the way the dialect developed. Kind of like how some people say "tings" instead of "things"

This is due to a speech impediment. It's actually quite common to not be able to pronounce "th" sounds, such as earf for earth.

same reason why they say bafroom instead of bathroom. it's the way they were raised. the people they grew up with spoke that way.
