Don't frek out! Just breathe deeply and relax. Before school starts go and find all of your classes. If possible try to meet your teachers. If you do, they will know thatyou take studying seriously and you'll have them on your side. Also don't plan on buying food on the first day. It is very confusing and you might not have time to stand in line and eat. Just bring a light snack that will keep you going. Try to reach all your classes on time, and remember that everyone is just as scared as you are and confused to, even the popular people. It is okay if you are late on the first day and hopefully things will get better later on. Last but not least, wear clothes and shoes that make you feel great and be VERY VERY CONFIDENT. Everyone is just as scared as you are and confused to, even the popular people. Now enter that school and show them what your made of.

Dont freak out. Just be yourself, and dont try to act like someone your not. It will take a week or two to get used to the new school and schedule because its new, but just take everything one step at a time. Trust me, everyone is nervous, your not alone. Just hang out with your friends and eat/hang wherever you feel comfortable. If you are feeling intimidated by the older ppl at jr high, ask if there is a teachers class you can eat in the first couple of days. Dont be afraid to ask questions. Dont worry you'll be fine, just remember to be yourself. Good Luck

be yourself.
here are some tips i have learned:
don't get behind in work.
It's really hard to make up.

try to avoid the majority of drama you can.
drama is going to happen. don't go looking for it.

try to make as many friends as you can.
from all different groups.
don't only hang out with two or three people.

stay calm. Jr. High isn't that hard.
wait till you get to high school

i will tell you though me and my best friend sicne 3rd grade got in one huge fight.. for no reason and didn't start talking again till last year. Andnow we're BFFS again. Be prepared!

Oh and don't skip classes because if your school is like mine was they will call home!

Have fun.
And like other people said... think about having more independence. You get to get 4/6 or more classes. which means many new people and experiences. Plus your parents will start treating you more respectful. More like an adult and will let you do things you couldn't before. Like dances. . . football games. etc.

I know you're probably very nervous, but you'll do fine. Just be yourself. Everyone else starting feels the same way, too- worried about being on time, getting lost, stuff like that. You'll get the hang of it soon enough. I'm sure you'll make some new friends, too ( and maybe see some old ones).

It's all cool... don't listen to stories people tell you. Yeah, it is harder (for fourth graders) but for your age is just exactly what you can handle. Think about having more freedom and not having to be in one single classroom the whole day. Oh, and you get to meet prettier chicks and don't have to do stuff like the "chicken dance" any more.

sure. one thing is, you can't pick on upper classman. secondly, start branching off. an existing friend can introduce you to someone they know and so on. third, get on the good side of teachers. they wont be as hard if you dont give them a reason to. hope that helps.

p.s. untill you know about homework, dont make after school plans

Anytime you go into a new phase in your life, it can be kind of scary, but there have been millions of people who have been exactly where you are and they have made it through. You will be just fine. All of your classmates are going with you.
