Isn't the prison system a continuation of slavory? The first thing that happens is that the person's right to vote is taken away. What does that have to do with the crime; but only to prevent the poor slaves from voting one of their own into office who will really free them from poverty and the grips of their oppressors. Then they are lettterally put to salve; if it were not they would come out better prepared financially and accademacally so as not to return.

There are crimes and punishments that are appropriate. Why don't we lintch the rulers for their atrocious crimes against humanity? Because that is not in their law. I'm sure the majority feels we should; but some how, now the majority should't rule. How convenient! When was it that the poor had an equal chance at justice or anything?

So you judge now; is prison a form of slavory and needs to be changed into true reform?

Dont forget use your individual spirit to answer, not your preset influences or perswations.

Does it need to be changed yes. Do punishments fit crimes? Rarely. And does the amount of money you have make a difference? Unfortunatly. An extenstion of slavery? I think this is a little too far.

Not only i believe prison is a form of slavery, it doesn't do anybody any good. I think people go to prison to meet other criminals and learn how to do other crimes, obviously not because that's their intention but that's what happens. Believe it or not some people have a blast in prison. Having people in prison also costs the government a lot of money, so it costs the citizens a lot of money. I do not believe in death penalty since I think then there's no real punishment. If someone commits a real crime like murder they should suffer for the rest of their lives and killing them is not suffering. I don't believe being in prison is suffering either. I dont think criminals in prison shouldn't be allowed to vote, they're still citizens but i do believe they should work their asses off paying the community with service like cleaning, fixing stuff, etc.

In this country we make the laws. If someone is in prison, it is for committing a felony. They have chosen to forfeit their rights, and deserve none of privileges afforded law abiding U.S. citizens. Try committing a felony in some other country, and see what happens.

First - use a spell checker so you don't look ignorant.

Next- rights are taken away from people when they're sent to jail. Everyone loses these rights regardless of ethnicity, race religion or sex.

Stop whining - if someone gets sent to jail they deserve what they get.

No, you obviously don't understand our country. That's not how it was intended to work. You should study our culture before you attempt to use it.
