teenagers are, in majority learning about sex. problem is, no one really want to tell them. and the few people who do tell them don't really know how to talk to teenagers.
i think real stories about sex, birth control teen pregnancy would be a great idea. when i was at school we didn't get sex ed. until we were 16 and it was of no use at all. i'm 18 now and still regret no one being there to talk to.
these days kids need to be able to have these conversations at 13, 14 and an article in the school newspaper sounds like an excellent idea.
i would put in interviews with (anonymous) people who've had experiences which may be of interest: 'had a baby at 15', 'wish i hadn't had sex so young' etc.
and if your principle or whoever doesn't want to let you publish it, print this off and show the arguments.

hey, you cant ask us to do youre homework for you.........

thats cheating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and the article, i dont see the big deal, half of us (maybe even more) are having sex anyway

and i think its time that that stuff was spoken about openly among teens, cos it DOES happen, no use hidding the truth

(the government does enough of that)

and i would read it, its like an interesting topic

does ure school have a problem with it, are they trying to censor the voice of the youth?

Freedom of speech, it was a gift, we should be able to use it!

i know i didnt go into much detail but i hope it helps anyway,

gud luck with the assignment!!!!!!!!!!!

PS good job with the age limit, there are lots of oldies on here that think they know better that us, they should so get jobs

i believe it should
as long as you don't go to a catholic school or anything where abstinence is the only thing allowed to be talked about.
other wise why not?
Teens need to know other people their age are dealing with some of the issues they have been.. or have been wondering about. and reading an article might provide information to them that they didn't have before.
