How is it that people accuse Oprah Winfrey of racism?
I see Oprah allways entertaining a diverse group that, due to the area in Chicago, tends to be predominately White.
I see Oprah doing nice things for ALL people - of color, and White.
I see Oprah and read about Oprah giving ALL people with stories to tell a chance to voice their struggles.
OPRAH IS NOT RACIST IN ANY WAY.
What I do see Oprah doing however, is using her show and her network to promote values such as PEACE, TOLERANCE, and SLEF ENDURANCE to young people and adults alike.
She also promotes LIBERAL idealogies such as tolerance of Homosexuals, freedom to choose, etc.
Basically the people I see insulting oprah are these right-wing neocons, who are JEALOUS of her beauty, her money and her fame. They would rather back someone like Newt Gingrich or Conservative Radio hosts who constantly attack Mexicans, Blacks, Arabs and other non-Whites regularly on their stands.

#2 Because she's a Left Liberal WOMAN who happens to be Black
#3 Because she has psychological influence with house wives and mothers throuout America - suggesting reading material, suggesting, political views, suggesting financial viewpoints,etc
#4 Because she is RICH and BLACK - did I mention that allready?

Oprah has done a lot for many people, irrespective of race. There are those in the African American community who accuse her of racism for not having rap acts perform on her show. Also some feel all her charity and giveaways should go solely to the black community and that she should not devote any of her vast resources to anyone other than them. But if you are black, doesn't mean u like rap, and also there are people of other races in need. So I support Oprah. She has worked hard to achieve what she has and when you get to that point in life, there will always be haters. But she has the right attitude and doesn't let the haters get her down. Heck, after all she's been through what's a few haters going to achieve? nada, that's what.

Why would you think conservative people are racists? I am a Christian and firmly believe that all people were made by God and cherished by God. I think Oprah is a wonderful example of someone sharing her wealth with the poor and less fortunate. I'm not jealous of her, I admire all she has done. By the way, I am not a fan of Newt Gingrich.

Oprah Winfrey is a wonderful black and rich and successful female talk show host who is so generous to a lot of people especially the blacks. Her school for girls being built in South Africa is costing her $40 million to date. She's so filthy rich and admitted to it unabashedly; because with all her money she's capable to do good deeds. She is the epitome of a christian in practice and generosity. Need I say more. Probably most of her detractors are males.
