I'm about 5'3 and 145lbs. I would say that I'm evenly paportioned. I'm very shy when it comes to swim suits, and normally I avoid wearing one. I'm on my way to Jamaica and it's time to face the music. Although I have lost 20lbs... I still feel FAT. Are strech marks as bad as they seem? And is it wrong for a woman to wear a two piece if she dosn't have a flat stomach? Do guys frown at strech marks and thickness?

wear what you want, who cares about guys that DO frown about it. Ignore that type, a good guy isn't into a persons physical shape, just their mental and emotional shape. Be confident and just have fun.

Congratulations on your weight loss! That's fantastic! In terms of swimming cossies, you should wear whatever you feel comfortable with. Why don't you get one of each and take both with you. And when you get to the beach, just take a little look round and you will be amazed when you see all those bodies on the beach. There will be big people, small, tall, short, stretch-marked, pock-marked, bald, hairy, fat, thin, the image we see on tv, mags etc is so far from the reality. And by the way, any man that frowns at stretch marks or thickness needs to be kicked to the kerb! Have a lovely holiday, you deserve it!

You don't have to wear a two piece if you don't want to. There are some VERY fasionable one piece suits that may make you feel more comfortable on the beach.

A tip for the strech marks though, go to Bath & Body Works and ask them about their shey butter products. People say that Coca butter is good for strech makrs (which it is), but Shea Butter is better. Slather that on a couple times a day and they will get a little better (my brother used this when he started to do body building to prevent them from showing and to get rid of the ones he already had, it worked!).

As for guys caring, who cares(unless your going to meet guys/pick up, but you sound sensable not crazy). Be happy with who you are. And congrats on the 20 LBS! That's wonderful! Keep it up!

I don't think that you have to wear a 1 piece just because you may be a bit larger. It sounds like you may be a bit self conscience though. I would suggest that you wear a 1 piece miracle suit. They seriously work. Sorry I don't know about the stretch marks. No matter what type of bathing suit you wear the best thing to do is to be confident, but not overly confident and rude about it.

I've been to Jamaica a few times, and you will feel like a queen when you are there! Everyone goes there to relax and let their hair down, and you should too! Ain't nothing wrong with thickness, and at 5'3, 145, you're not that thick anymore. (I'm your old size!! LOL) Get in the water, go to Dunn's Falls, snorkle, get your hair braided, and strut what God gave you. Be the you that you would be if you weren't shy!!

First I say congratulations on losing 20 lbs thats amazing! Second I say wear whatever kind of bathing suit you like whether it's one or two piece. You accomplished something major and you should be proud of that! I know it's easier said than done but you shouldn't worry about what other people are thinking about you because chances are you're a lot harder on yourself than they are on you. Have fun in Jamaica!

no no if they're mature... only younger guys are like that.

hell i see chin hair and bodies that are flabby don't bug me.. sometimes i find it appealing in a strange way.

you're not fat.. problem is you must tone up a bit.. do some aerobics or yoga.. that'll inprove circulation and muscle tone.

get on a bike.. get a bit of sun... no matter the skin color or type...

do toe touches... walk the stairs...

you're not fat.

a bit of toning that muscle and tightening up the body will help you feel better and look better.

and it will improve many things physically also.

:D

oh watch your diet also.. some foods will make you puffier than nessesary.

veggies and fruits help tone up the body too.. give you more energy and improve those lines too!

stretch marks. eh they fade.. and all that i suggested will help those marks too.

ah along with proper hydration too!

:D

That ***** gives Jesus a bad name! You can buy a bikini and also some sort of skirt to go with it, there are all kinds of ways to look very chic, very sexy, very fashionable and still cover up flaws. Reality is we all have flaws even the fashion models. That is why lighting and make-up are so prevalent during a shoot! Just look for ways to accessories your suit and you will be fine. I wish I could go to Jamaica! Enjoy your trip!

I can't tell you to wear a 2piece or a 1 piece the only thing I can say is wear whatever you are comfortable in. Don't worry about what other people think! You are the one that matters!

Me I won't wear a 2 piece because of stretch marks. But that is my opinion. Wear what you are comfortable with.
