Interesting. I know they have been trying to keep to the storyline but not heard of Chloe before. But glad she is in Smallville. Perhaps that's why we had the explosion at the end of season 3. :)

Kill off Lana Lang instead. They nearly did, I'd like to see Chloe and Clark get together (nearly typed Lana then LOL) but from what I have read, there is a new love interest...

Pete Ross discovered his secret too in the comics, as did in the show.

I'd like a seventh and final series or whatever number where is based at Daily Planet and at the very last episode Clark becomes Superman.

Actually Chloe does reference Superboy a lot in Smallville.

Yeah...
Don't be mean, give Allison Mack a snogging scene. :)

I couldn't recall there ever having been a Chloe Sullivan in any Superman story or spinoff I ever read; so I presumed, when Smallville debuted, that she was a character brought into the show. I did recognise Pete Ross and Lana Lang, though in the comics Pete was a white guy, IIRC.

Lana and Pete were originally meant to be Superboy's answer to Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen, respectively. I don't know when Pete discovered Clark's secret (i.e. when his knowledge of Clark's secret identity was made part of the canon).

However, back to Chloe. The one good thing about Chloe, whether you like this or not, is that her presence enabled the writers to introduce a character into Clark's life a little earlier than the official comics would have. Namely "Chloe's cousin", Lois Lane.

(I think they only brought in Lois Lane to placate the growing number of people who kept asking "Where's Lois" all the time during the first two seasons, and who never actually read any of the comics, only watched the films and TV series. Go figure).

She was invented for Smallville. Pete Ross and Lana Lang were in the comics.

From Wikipedia...

Chloe Sullivan is a fictional character from the television series Smallville, played by Allison Mack. She is a new character, introduced by Smallville creators into the Superman story to be their 'proto-Lois'; DC Comics bought the character during Smallville's third season and announced plans to add her to the comic in March 2006.

She is just a made up character only for Smallville, she was not part of the comic nor any of the movies of superman. She was made up just to bring more surprises to Smallville.

Just a Smallville invention.

Invented by the show for the show. Pete Ross and Lana Lang are the only friends Clark Kent still keeps in touch with from time to time in the comics.
