A good way to find out what social issues are faced by business would be to look at the websites of organizations that provide an interface for business to interact with governments and non-profits or non-governmental organizations. One international forum that meets these criteria is the World Economic Forum. If you go to their website and look sessions from their meetings or the on-going 'Initiatives' it can be a good barometer for these issues. Because of its interaction with business it is often the subject of activist interest.
For example, the WEF is engages in a number of social issues such as: corporate citizenship, greenhouse gas emissions, pension systems, health, education, corruption, corporate governance, digital divide.
But the social issues faced by a business will likely vary by their geography, type of ownership, industry, and size.
Geography matters because companies in Africa might be more worried about AIDS while companies in Asia might be more worried about Avian Flu.
Ownership matters because public companies might face different pressures (e.g. shareholder activism) than private companies (e.g. more immune) than government owned (e.g. employment might matter more than profit).
Industry matters because Tech companies might care more about the digital divide while pharma companies might care more about physician training and hospital capability and oil and construction companies care about corruption.
Finally size matters because some larger companies may face more issues. This may be because their size allows them to understand the issues better - they can hire specialists. This may also be because they are subject to more scrutiny - activists all call the same 10 biggest companies in industry x and geography y because it is the most efficient use of their time.

Most businesses operate with employees. That brings every social issue off the street and into the workplace. Race, religion, sexual orientation, health, education, child rearing, home ownership, substance abuse. You name it and business owners deal with it.
