Britain is NOT and never will be a "province", "state" or any part of the USA!!!!!!

I pray for a Priime Minster who has the guts to stand up and tell the Yanks where they can go. Why the hell should we go running after them into wars? We have Muslims blowing up our Tube Trains all because Blair followed Dubya into Afghanistan and Iraq.

I didn't notice the Americans standing by our side when the IRA were murdering innocent British women and children in Manchester and London, presumably for the crime of "being British". Where was their "war on terror" then? Oh sorry they were actually funding the bloody IRA weren't they??

One day we will get a Prime Minister with enough courage and pride in his own country to tell the Americans "You're on your own".

Oh and before any Yanks start up about "saving our asses" in WWII - actually you came more than two years LATE into the war and by that time many of the decisive battles - such as the Battle of Britain - had already been fought and won, without America. Besides you only came into it because the Japs attacked you. You wouldn't have given a toss about Europe otherwise.

Who is bullying who? Britain, United Kingdom, England are all the same and one country. Geographically speaking it is a big island very close to Europe and that is it. In the American media it is depicted as a province? I doubt it. Maybe you are mislead with names like new England, new foundland etc. all separate regions that belong to god knows whom. About the bullying an example: Do you know about the Falkland war with Argentina in the 80's were Thatcher decided they should go there and claim back an Island about 10.000 km away from England. The reason being it belonged to them in the first place. Incidentally Falklands is of the coast of Argentina maybe a few hundred kilometers at most. 500 or more British troops dead and twice that from the Argentinian side. So lets look at things this way, does America and England bully each other. No, not at all. As a matter of fact they so to speak wash each others hands when necessary. Especially when it comes to war.

Are you from there? It's definitely not although Dictator Dumbya acts as if it, (and the rest of the world) is and Tony generally does what he is told. You still have a voice in your government and elections that really count so you might be able to change that? With 2 crooked elections here having passed the struggle will be more difficult. Just don't come here with a King George and try to colonize again, since we already HAVE a King George.

I'm sure others will give the same answer - Hahahah. Come on, we UK people don't shout all the time in harsh-sounding voices, so we obviously don't even speak the same language. Not meant to sound critical, just an observation of how expectations differ.

common interests, a common culture of tolerance and democracy, and common enemies. I'm guessing you're happy living the comfortable, secure and affluent lifestyle provided by one or the other, and since you're clearly an armchair subversive you're personally benefiting from the culture of tolerance. If you don't like it, move out. Sea or air, it's your choice. Perhaps you'd prefer Iran?

I see G.B. -as our Grandmother. We had our "issues" with "her" when we were younger & she's had a stretch of rough times along the way...- But she's a grand-old-dame, and it's nice to check in on her once in awhile & share some gossip, tea & crumpets. -Oh yeah, -and she thinks her latest "grandson", George (Bush), is badly spoiled- and needs some attitude adjusting. :) But- considering her age, that's to be expected.
