i feel i have tried everything. i have 2 brand new microphones.i hear the other person talking during voice chat but they cannot hear me. somebody please help!

basic thing make sure its plugged into the correct socket on the soundcard
go into the sound settings and unmute your mic and u should hear yourself via your speakers, if that all works and your using messenger run the audio setup wizard from help menu.

there might be many reasons...
Check the Mute option for microphone
Check it from BIOS, depending on your PC
U may have a corrupted driver.
U may have IRQ issues.
Reinstall yahoo just to be sure on thier audio driver.

tat might be due to the speed of the internet u recieve ...

just check with the test option whether it works or not ... if it doesnt then you could go for a new one ...
