This still doesn't make sense. Can anyone else provide an explanation?

Slope of the perpendicular line is the negative of the inverse of the slope of the line:

y=-(5/2)x+b

solve for b by plugging in the point 3,2
3=-(5/2)2+b
8=b

y=-(5/2)x +8

Sorry, doing homework of my own kids is something I will not do, why should anybody do yours, especially when you bring an attitude with it? Afraid you have to do your own homework, otherwise, you do not learn.
