Good question. I'm not sure that we have totally extreme right wing people in power right now, but the stuff they've done sure hasn't worked very well. On the other side of the aisle is a bunch of loons who have no plan to do anything other than hate whatever Republicans want to do. If they get into power they will try to waste a bunch of time getting rid of the president, and then they'll wonder what to do, because they have no plan.
It's going to take at least 4 years before anything gets back to normal.

Good question I think we should all vote Independent this year and boot them both out. They work against each other so much they can't get anything done, and they both betrayed us anyway with their immigration policies and bills. The American people are at the apathy stage right now, next comes oppression and then our down fall we are becoming like Rome, people that are coming no longer want to assimilate, groups are forming their own communities and want their own culture and language. and that will pull us apart. Just look at Florida and the Cubans some have been their 30 years and still don't speak one word of English and the Mexicans that are coming also do not want to assimilate. We will fall from within.

As far as i can tell America is not being held hostage by the left. The USSR has fallen, and you have never had a strong socialist working class movement in your country.
It would be pretty inaccurate to call China communist any more.
The left wing govennments in Latin America are not really extreme, and I am sure that the big USA cannot be held hostage by CUBA :)

Socialist isn't free the cost of entitlements has to come from somewhere. When the energy crisis collides with the baby-boomers retirement bill, there will be very few assets for any other programs. Dollars spent for non-infrastructure items create a economy today, but don't enable one for tomorrow.

Tell me, where is the Extreme Left? Can you give me examples? I have yet to see any indication of the Extreme Left anywhere in this government. If anyone is extremely left they dont get into office, or if they do, they are assassinated. (JFK) I think you've been listening to too much Rush Limbaugh.

Sometimes people seem to feel like they have to vote Super Right or Super Left because they haven't heard about the people that they have the option to vote for that aren't D or R.

So... next election, let's vote for the person that you heard the least about. (The ones with the most advertising are the ones with the most outside funding from their own wealth. It'd be nice to have a politician that was a normal person for once.)

It will stop when people vote out the extremists in both parties and vote for men and women who will work WITH their constituents and their colleagues in the Senate and House for the good of the American people. All we have now is ranting, raving, bashing, posturing, and self-serving fools who care too little for the majority and too much for their own selfish interests and their big fat paychecks.

when we realize that bashing the "other" party is futile.
it's as effective as blowing yourself up on a bus, to make a point.
but bashing is all the rage. inteligent conversation is going by the wayside.

todays bashing score:
dems 5 reps 4
not a contest i'd want to win

But that's what they want. If everyone is always fighting then they don't notice what the politicians are really doing. Democrat Republican they are all the same greedy power hungry aristocrats
