first of all he is not been selected in the playing eleven...and above all he can easily b a part of any indian team...he canplay at any number...but kiran mor and chapeel suck

Anything relating to Ganguly invites debate. His ommission and rejection are both debateable. He can play at any position. India has more than two regular openers. Why to worry about. He would be perfect at opening the innings. See the last match in Sri Lanka wherein Dravid opened the innings with Tendulkar. Sehwag was dropped down.
Dear friend see Ganguly play when he opens you would forget all the batsmen of the world. The grace he has would bewitch you. His strokes through the covers, just awsome. His style of hitting sixes is the best in the world.
I wish he is selected for the playing eleven and you would see him perform.

Though Sourav Ganguly has been included in the list of probables, that does not assure him a place in the playing 11.
More plyers have been included in the probables is only to
take care of any unforseen situation when certain players
are injured and not able to play due to certain reason. In such
an eventuality you can only select the player from the list of
probables selected and not any player not included in the list
of probables

The selection of Sourav does not indicate he has been selected to open the innings.The selectors must have given a place to play for INDIA to prove his form. I don't see any other reason.However he did not find a place in the final 11 leave alone opening the innings.Dravid and Tendulkar have opened the innings in the rain hit match and later abandoned.

we hve good openers but sourav ganguly is a best player if any opener is not in form we send ganguly for opening
