Gstrings and Thong the all have been around for years, just recently did women start wearing them all the time. Back in the day women had to "go change" into them for some romance and sweet lovings. Now every girl in the world has the back of their panties sticking out. So just looking honestly I'd say fashion.

It is all about fashion, everything we do have and wear is for the sake of fashion! Once in a while we might even be comfortably dressed but mostly we wear items like thongs for the fashion of it whether it is comfortable or not.

"For fit"? Please. Don't make me laugh.
So many of these pathetic wearers of thongs whine about "panty lines" and saying things are, actually, "comfortable". A line of material going in between your buttocks is comfortable? Even so, the fact of just wearing one because of these "terrible" panty lines is disgusting. Yes, disgusting. You could wear those boxer shorts made for young girls/teens/women now that have no panty lines whatsoever and are still sexy (just more modestly) nonetheless! Is modesty a problem now? Is it not "cool enough"? Geez... Besides, what's the big deal about panty lines? Nothing. It's just some very lame excuse to continue wearing this... thing. Because there are these women are so insecure about being sexy, doing what many others do, they just wear. And thus, stupidity is formed. I mean, like I mentioned earlier, I bet this isn't about panty lines or whatever at all. People are just saying that so that others who are clearly disgusted accept it. But me? No way. A sign of disrespect to your body and vulagarity is not on my list for acceptance. NEVER. So, to simply answer your question, no! N-O. Period.
Thanks for reading.

It has to be fashion, because it sure isn't comfort! It feels just like a wedgie.

Could be because their bf/husband likes it, or they wanna show it off when they wear low rise jeans. I've also heard that they're quite comfortable AND it's easier to have sex.
