Definitely the PSP. Its multiple capabilities (image storage, video, music, gaming) make everything else pale in comparison.
If you get it, definitely check the next link out. I used it for my own, and its got an amazing amount of PSP downloads.

If you're talking about handheld computers, the Nokia 770 is very cool.
